Analysis of a construction element deformation stressed by bending using digital image

Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce je navrhnout způsob vyztužení a zpevnění smrkových nosníků pomocí vysoce pevných kompozitních prutů a stanovit účinnost vyztužení analýzou specifických mechanických vlastností vzniklých kompozitů. Vyztužení bylo provedeno vlepením prutů do vyfrézovaných drážek (B) na spodní ploše, (T) na horní ploše a (D) na horní a spodní ploše nosníků. Konkrétně se zkoumaly mez pevnosti, globální a lokální modul pružnosti a celkové napěťově–deformační chování nosníků při zatížení ve čtyřbodovém ohybu podle standardizovaného postupu. Deformační odezva nosníků byla analyzována pomocí metody korelace digitálního obrazu (DIC). Největší zpevnění bylo dosaženo u nosníků (D) s oboustranným vyztužením. Největší tuhost byla pozorována u nosníků (T) s horní výztuhou. Pozice neutrální osy se posunula nad polovinu výšky nosníku u skupiny s horní výztuhou (T). U ostatních skupin byla pozice neutrální osy přibližně uprostřed nosníku, ale výsledky jsou těžko porovnatelné vlivem velké četnosti vad nosníků. Jednotlivé výsledky jsou porovnávány s literaturou nebo s obdobnými experimenty.

Abstract:

The topic of the diploma thesis is to design a method of reinforcement and strengthening of spruce beams using high–strength composite bars and to determine the effectiveness of reinforcement by analyzing the specific mechanical properties of the resulting composites. The reinforcement was performed by gluing the bars into the milled grooves (B) on the bottom surface, (T) on the top surface and (D) on the top and bottom surface of the beams. Specific examined properties were the bending strength, global and local modulus of elasticity and stress–strain behaviour of beams under four–point bending load according to a standardized procedure. The deformation response of the beams was analyzed using the Digital Image Correlation (DIC) method. The greatest strengthening was achieved for beams (D) with double–sided reinforcement. The greatest stiffness was observed for the beams (T) with the upper reinforcement. The position of the neutral axis has shifted above half the height of the beam in the group with the upper reinforcement (T). In the other groups, the position of the neutral axis was approximately in the middle of the beam, but the results are difficult to compare due to the high frequency of beam defects. Individual results are compared with the literature or similar experiments.
