Abstract:

This thesis investigates the impact of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) on economic growth, focusing on productivity, technology transfer, innovation, and human capital development across diverse countries such as Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Japan, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Turkey, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Using regression and correlation analyses, the study quantifies how FDI influences these key economic variables. The findings suggest that FDI significantly enhances productivity, fosters innovation through technology transfer, and contributes to human capital development by improving workforce skills, thereby driving economic growth. This research offers valuable insights for policymakers to develop strategies that attract FDI and maximize its benefits. However, the study is limited by its reliance on secondary data and the variability of FDI effects across different economic contexts, highlighting the need for further research in specific country settings to validate and expand upon these findings
