Efficient training methods in company XY

Abstract:

Cílem této diplomové práce je analýza existujících metod vzdělávání v dané společnosti a zhodnocení jejich efektivnosti z pohledu zaměstnanců. V praktické části práce je analyzován stávající systém vzdělávání ve společnosti XY formou SWOT analýzy a provedeného dotazníkového šetření. Analytická část odhalila, že ve společnosti neexistuje rozdíl mezi preferovanými metodami vzdělávání v závislosti na generaci X a Y, zaměstnanci nejsou spokojeni s platformou e-learningu, a že vedoucí pracovníci většinou nesledují pokrok svých podřízených ve vztahu k vzdělávání. Přínos práce spočívá v identifikaci efektivních metod vzdělávání z pohledu zaměstnanců, jimiž jsou metody vzdělávání na pracovišti a interaktivní metody vzdělávání, a navržení souboru konkrétních doporučení pro oblast vzdělávání v této společnosti. Použitými metodami jsou polostrukturované rozhovory s personálním oddělením, analýza interních dokumentů, SWOT analýza, kvantitativní výzkum a srovnání teorie s praxí.

Abstract:

The goal of this master thesis is an analysis of existing training methods in the company and an evaluation of their efficiency from the employees’ point of view. In the practical part of the thesis, the current system of learning and development is analyzed, using the tool of SWOT analysis and results of a conducted survey. Those analyses found out that there is no significant difference between preferred training methods with respect to generation X and generation Y. Moreover, employees are generally not satisfied with the e-learning platform and managers do not focus on the impact of training on their subordinates’ performance. The contribution of this thesis is the identification of efficient training methods in the company as seen by its employees, which are on-the-job training and interactive off-the-job methods, as well as a suggestion of a set of recommendations solving the identified problems and weaknesses. In this master thesis, the following methods were used: semi-structured interviews with HR representatives, analysis of internal documents, SWOT analysis, quantitative research (questionnaire), and a comparison of theory and praxis.
