The effects of physiotherapy on flat feet

Abstract:

Introduction: I chose this topic because it is a very common issue that is often ignored, although it can have widespread consequences while it is possible to physically influence or prevent it. The main goal: The goal of my Bachelor's thesis is to add to the help and solutions to fixing flat feet, both in treatment and prevention via selecting a combination of adequate procedures, methods and concepts of physiotherapy by patients who are diagnosed with flat feet. Methodic: This part contains a processed casuistry of a 5-year-old woman, diagnosed with flat feet this part also contains a short time physiotherapeutic plan based on the results of a kinesiological entry analysis. This physiotherapeutic intervention lasted three months on a regular weekly basis via different physiotherapeutic concepts and. We specifically included myofascial and mobilization techniques, active training, motoric exercises, breathing exercises, PNF concept (proprioceptive, neuromuscular facilitation), DNS (dynamic, neuromuscular facilitation) SM system kineziotaping and manual therapy. In the end I administered the final kinesiological analysis and based on the collected data, I Proposed a long-term physiotherapeutic plan and regime measures. Results: With the patient I am observing more positive results, apart from a rise of the plantar arch, what was my priority ended up being a success, we moderately adapted the anteversion of the plantar arch, the posture of the thorax, fixate the abdominal wall, improve the axis od the lower limbs and at least partially strengthen the deep stabilization system. Closure: This thesis was a big plus for me, it enhanced my knowledge and my abilities in applied therapies and I also gained new abilities by working with child patients. This all will be a huge asset for my future praxis.

Abstract:

Úvod: Túto tému som si vybrala, pretože je to veľmi častá problematika, ktorá je až ignorovaná, hoci môže mať široké následky a pritom ju dokážeme fyzioterapeuticky ovplyvniť alebo jej predísť. Cieľ práce: Cieľom práce je prispieť k riešeniu problematiky plochých nôh, ako liečbe tak aj prevencií pomocou výberu a kombinácie vhodných postupov, metód a konceptov fyzioterapie u pacienta s diagnózou plochých nôh. Metodika: Táto časť obsahuje spracovanú kazuistiku ženy (5 rokov) s diagnózou plochých nôh, ďalej tiež obsahuje krátkodobý fyzioterapeutický plán založený na základe výsledkov vstupného kineziologického rozboru. Táto fyzioterapeutická intervencia trvala tri mesiace, pravidelne jedenkrát týždenne, s využitím rôznych fyzioterapeutických konceptov a metód. Konkrétne sme zahrnuli myofasciálne a mobilizačné techniky, aktívne cvičenie, nácvik senzomotoriky, dychové cvičenia, koncept PNF (propriorecptívna neuromuskulárna facilitácia), DNS (dynamická neuromuskulárna facilitácia), SM systém, kineziotaping a manuálnu terapiu. Na konci som vykonala výstupný kineziologický rozbor a na základe zozbieraných dát, som navrhla dlhodobý fyzioterapeutický plán a režimové opatrenia. Výsledky: U pacientky pozorujem viac kladných výsledkov, okrem zvýšenia klenby, ktoré bolo mojou prioritou, sa nám podarilo aspoň mierne upraviť anteverziu panvy, postavenie hrudníka, spevniť brušnú stenu, zlepšiť os dolných končatín a aspoň z časti posilniť hlboký stabilizačný systém. Záver: Táto práca mi bola veľkým prínosom, obohatila ma o nové poznatky a schopnosti vo využitých terapiách a taktiež som získala skúsenosť s prácou s detským pacientom. Bude mi prínosnou pre moju budúcu prax.
