Estimation of cost functions of selected firm

Abstract:

The aim of the thesis is to estimate the cost function for Měšťanský pivovar v Poličce, JSC and for the Czech brewing industry as a whole and also to measure its efficiency. In the first part of the thesis we focus on the theoretical framework of the thesis, i.e. functional shape of the cost function, stochastic frontier analysis. In the second part we pay attention to the description of the collected data and their modification. In the third part of the thesis we devote to estimating the cost function models and to measurement of efficiency of brewing industry.

Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce je odhadnout nákladovou funkci pro Měšťanský pivovar v Poličce, a.s. a pro české pivovarské odvětví jako celek a taky měřit jeho efektivnost. V první části práce se zaměřujeme na teoretický rámec práce, tj. funkční tvary nákladových funkcí, metodu stochastické hraniční analýzy. V druhé části věnujeme pozornost popisu sesbíraných dat a jejich úpravě. V třetí části práce se věnujeme odhadu modelů nákladové funkce a měření efektivnosti pivovarského odvětví.
