Behavioural problems in large classes

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou chování ve velkých třídách. Zaměřuji se na jednu specifickou skupinu studentů, a to na studenty středních škol. Praktická část se věnuje definici termínu problémy s kázní, rozděluje a vysvětluje příčiny kázeňských problémů a navrhuje způsoby, jak tyto eliminovat nebo alespoň snížit. V praktické části předkládám některé návrhy a ukázkové hodiny, ve kterých jsou aplikovány metody zmíněné v teoretické části. Tyto metody byly použity na střední odborné škole na které vyučuji. Na základě skutečného využití učebních aktivit ve třídách tyto hodnotím a komentuji z pozice jejich účinnosti. Cílem mé práce je navržení řešení, jak se vypořádat s touto problematikou, které se poměrně často vyskytuje na českých školách.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with discipline problems in large classes. It focuses on teenage students where there is not only problem with their age but also with a fact that they come from various elementary schools and their different levels of English also contributes to the problem. The theoretical part defines the term large classes, discipline problems, categorizes and explains their causes and outlines methods how such problems could be eliminated or reduced. In the practical part of my thesis I present some ideas and sample lessons using the methods proposed in the theoretical part. These methods were applied at a secondary vocational school where I teach English. On the basis of the authentic use of the teaching activities these will be assessed and commented from the view of their effectiveness. The aim of my thesis is to suggest solutions of coping with this problem as it appears quite frequently in Czech schools.
