Bakalárska práca sa zaoberá centrálnou bankou, hlavne jej nástrojmi, ktoré využíva na dosahovanie cieľov, t.j. menovej a cenovej stability. V prvej kapitole je popísané čo je centrálna banka, ďalej vznik a vývoj bankového systému, postavenie centrálnej banky ako vrcholného subjektu menovej politiky a jej ciele.
