Římské defensivní stavitelství se spolu s legiemi stalo základní složkou obrany římské říše. Tato práce v prvé řadě vymezuje samotný pojem defensivní architektury a následně popisuje římská opevnění ze stavebně konstrukčního hlediska. Roman defensive architecture together with legions became the basic part of Roman Empire´s defence. This thesis in first place explains the term ´defensive architecture´ and then focuses on roman fortification from the design and construction point of view.
