Autonomy as an example of the state possibility of the Kurds

Abstract:

Diplomová práce zahrnuje komplexní přístup k řešení geopolitických změn v současnosti ve vztahu ke Kurdům na Blízkém východě. Obsahuje stručný, historický přehled kurdské problematiky v Iráku a Turecku. Zabývá se hodnocením postojů a intervencí světových mocností ve vztahu k politice v regionu. Důraz je kladen na analýzu řešení kurdského problému v Iráku a Turecku. Čtenář se dozví o situaci Kurdů v Íránu a Sýrii, kteří hrají menší, ale jistě nezanedbatelnou roli na Blízkém východě. Na závěr je uveden návrh řešení problému, který by mohl být pro "všechny" zainteresované geopoliticky nejpřijatelnější.

Abstract:

The thesis includes a comprehensive study of possible solutions to deal with the geopolitical changes continuing today. It includes an historic overview of the Kurds in Iraq and Turkey and evaluates the attitudes and interventions of world powers. Emphasis is also placed on the analysis of solutions for the situation of the Kurds in Iran and Syria as although these play a lesser role generally, their impact in a Middle Eastern context is of significance. The conclusion looks at a possible geopolitical solution that could be amicable for all those affected.
