Creative industries in spatial perspective in the city of Brno

Abstract:

Ve své bakalářské práci se věnuji kreativním odvětvím a jejich prostorové organizaci v Brně. Tradiční rozdělení průmyslu na primér, sekundér, terciér v dnešní době již nedostatečně odráží ekonomickou aktivitu měst a regionů. Na vzestupu jsou nová odvětví a obory. Jedním z těchto odvětví jsou právě kreativní odvětví, která od konce osmdesátých let minulého století nabývá významu. Na základě dostupných zdrojů budou v teoretické části jednotlivých kapitol nejdříve rozebrány přístupy a definice kreativních odvětví vybraných autorů, dále je pak uvedena typologie lokalizačních faktorů, jejich vlivy na lokalizační rozhodnutí a možný dopad na městský rozvoj. Další kapitola pojednává o socioekonomickém vývoji a administrativním členěním města Brna. V empirické části poslední kapitoly bude vypracován seznam firem kreativních odvětví, jejichž vymezení vychází z teoretické části práce. Firmy budou hodnoceny jednak z hlediska zaměření, kdy bude zjišťováno zastoupení jednotlivých odvětví na území města Brna a také z hlediska územního, kdy bude zjišťována oblast s nejvyšším výskytem kreativních odvětví. Empirická část bude podložena také terénním výzkumem. Na závěr bude uvedeno porovnání výsledků z empirické části práce s teoretickými poznatky.

Abstract:

In my thesis I occupy with the creative industries and their spatial organization in Brno. The traditional division of the industry primary, secondary and tertiary sector don´t reflect adequately the economic activities of cities and regions. Nowadays is the rise of the new sectors and industries. One of these sectors are creative industries, since the late eighties of the last century becomes a significant rise. On the basis of available resources will be in the theoretical part of each chapter first discussed approaches and definitions of the creative industries selected authors, as well as typology of location factors and their effects on location decisions and the possible impact on urban development. The next chapter deals with the socio-economic development and administrative structure of Brno. In the empirical part, there is a list of companies creative industries, whose definition is based on the theoretical part. Firms will be evaluated in terms of their quantity and structure and in terms of spatial organization in Brno. The empirical part is also based on field research. In conclusion, there is a comparsion of results of empirical work with theoretical knowledge.
