The needs of a child with established ventriculo-peritoneal drainage

Abstract:

Cíl: Cílem diplomové práce je zjistit potřeby dětí se zavedenou ventrikuloperitoneální drenáží. Metodika: Výzkumný soubor tvořilo 10 matek dětí se zavedenou ventrikuloperitoneální drenáží, které navštěvují neurochirurgickou ambulanci. Další participantky byly osloveny na sociální síti, jenž se zabývá dětmi s ventrikuloperitoneálními drenážemi. Výzkum byl proveden prostřednictvím polostrukturovaného rozhovoru. Výsledky: Výzkum diplomové práce byl zaměřen na potřeby dětí se zavedenou ventrikuloperitoneální drenáží, jenž zahrnují potřeby v domácím, hospitalizačním a školním prostředí. Jako nejdůležitější potřebu dítěte participantky uvedly: "Mezi hlavní potřeby patří náš domov, jídlo, na které se vždy těší, čisté každodenní prádlo a možnost si zajít vždy na záchod" a "Náruč maminky, to je ta největší a nejcennější láska jaká může na světě být". Ve výzkumu bylo dále zjištěno, že děti, u kterých byla diagnostikována dětská mozková obrna potřebovaly pro uspokojování svých potřeb pomoc nejbližších, neboť jejich fyzický i mentální handicap nedovoloval uspokojovat ani své základní potřeby. Nejčastěji se jim dostávalo pomoci od svých matek a blízkého okolí, které se skládalo z nejbližší rodiny. V průběhu rozhovoru byly také zjištěny potřeby rodičů, jež se skládaly nejčastěji z potřeb psychických, se kterými jim pomáhala rodina. Závěr: Na závěr je zapotřebí interpretovat, že všechny participantky se ve velké míře shodovaly ve svých výpovědích. Dítě své onemocnění považuje za samozřejmost. Míra uvědomování si své nemoci se odvíjí v závislosti na mentální úrovni dítěte. Výsledky mohou pomoci ostatním rodičům, kteří mají doma dítě s ventrikuloperitoneální drenáží.

Abstract:

Objective: The aim of this thesis was to find out the needs of children with established ventriculoperitoneal drainage Methology: The research group consisted of 10 mothers of children with established ventriculoperitoneal drainage who attend a neurosurgical clinic. Other participants were approached on a social network dealing with children with ventricular-drainage. The research was conducted by semi-structured interview. Results: The research of the thesis was focused on the needs of children with established ventricular-drainage drainage, which include needs in the home, hospital and school environment. As the most important need of the child, the participants stated: "The main needs are our home, the food we always enjoy, the clean everyday clothes and the opportunity to always go to the bathroom" and "The mum's arms, that is the greatest and most valuable love there can be". The research also found that children who were diagnosed with cerebral palsy needed help from their loved ones to meet their needs, as their physical and mental disabilities did not allow them to satisfy their basic needs. Most often, they were helped by their mothers and their immediate family, which consisted of the closest family. In the course of the interview, the needs of the parents were also identified, most often consisting of the psychological needs of the family. Conclusion: In conclusion, it is necessary to interpret that all participants have largely coincided in their testimonies. The child takes its disease for granted. The degree of awareness of your illness depends on the mental level of your child. The results can help other parents who have a child with ventricularoperitoneal drainage at home.
