Suggestion of the Products of Sustainable Tourism of the Cross-Border Tachov Region

Abstract:

Diplomová práce s názvem „Návrh produktů udržitelného cestovního ruchu pro příhraniční region Tachovsko“ pojednává o možnostech dalšího rozvoje cestovního ruchu v území. Práce je zaměřena na produkty cykloturistiky. V první části je zpracována teorie udržitelného cestovního ruchu, uvedeny jsou poznatky o produktech cestovního ruchu (vymezení, fáze vývoje produktu, životní cyklus produktu atp.), v závěru části jsou shrnuty poznatky o teorii přeshraničního regionu a přeshraniční spolupráce. Analytická část uvádí komplexní informace o cestovním ruchu, jeho organizaci a výdajích v regionu. Dále je zpracován přehled podpory cykloturistiky na národní, krajské, lokální a místní úrovni. Následující kapitoly jsou analýzou cykloturistiky v regionu, v rámci které je analyzována nabídka služeb a doprovodné cyklistické infrastruktury v regionu. Také byl proveden kvalitativní výzkum cykloturistiky a součástí této části je analýza cykloturistiky německého okresu Tirschenreuth. Poznatky analytické části se staly podkladem pro analýzu SWOT. Poslední (návrhová) část práce uvádí návrhy nových produktů udržitelného cestovního ruchu a požadavky na organizační změny v regionu.

Abstract:

The master’s dissertation titled “Suggestion of the Products of Sustainable Tourism of the Cross-Border Tachov region” informs about the possibilities for further tourism development in the Tachov area. The thesis is focused on cycling tourism products. In its first part the theory of sustainable tourism is elaborated and the knowledge of tourism products is given (definition, stages of product development, product life cycle, etc.). At the end of the theoretical part the knowledge of cross-border region and cross-border cooperation are summarized. The analytical part provides the complete and comprehensive information about tourism, its organization and tourism expenses of the region. There is also elaborated the overview of cycling support on the national, regional and local level. The following chapters are focused on cycling tourism analysis of the region, within which the supply of tourism services and supporting cycling infrastructure is analyzed. The qualitative research of cycling tourism of Tachov region was processed and also the analysis of cycling tourism in German cross-border region Tirschenreuth is part of the analytical section. The final SWOT analysis is based on the findings of the all processed researches. The last part of master’s dissertation gives the suggestions of a new local sustainable cycling tourism products and also introduces the organizational change requirements on the local level.
