Jewish Community in Jemnice Between the Years 1918-1942
Abstract:
Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá vývojem židovské obce ve městě Jemnice v období první Československé republiky a Protektorátu Čechy a Morava. Je zaměřena především na život příslušníků místní židovské komunity až do roku 1942, kdy deportací do Terezína dějiny této židovské obce v Jemnici končí. Práce se věnuje demografii, sociální skladbě, hospodářství, školství a zapojení do společenského života.
Abstract:
This Bachelor´s thesis deals evolution of Jewish community in city Jemnice during the first Czechoslovak Republic and Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia. Major part of the work focuses on live of members local Jewish community by 1942, when Jewish community´s history in Jemnice ends by deportation to Terezín.
