Rehabilitation of a patient with Parkinson's Disease at initial stage: case report

Abstract:

Parkinson's disease, recognised as a combined motor and nonmotor disorder. Parkinson's disease (PD) impacts people in different ways. Not everyone will experience all the symptoms of Parkinson's, and if they do, they won't necessarily experience them in quite the same order or at the same intensity. There are typical patterns of progression in Parkinson's disease that are defined in stages. During the "early" stages of Parkinson's disease or stage one the person has mild symptoms that generally do not interfere with daily activities (involuntary shaking of the hands, arms, legs or tongue; changes in posture, walking and facial expressions occur). It is very important to have a robust knowledge of the progression pattern and clinical heterogeneity of the presentation of Parkinson's. In this thesis, we discuss about the rehabilitation of a patient with Parkinson's Disease at initial stage.

Abstract:

Il morbo di Parkinson, riconosciuto come un disordine motore e non, pu? avere un impatto sulle persone diverso. Non tutti avranno gli stessi sintomi, e se cosi fosse potrebbero non essere nello stesso ordine o della stessa intensit?. Ci sono dei quadri clinici tipici della progressione della malattia chiamati stadi. Durante lo stadio iniziale, anche detto stadio 1, la persona presenta sintomi attenuati che generalmente non interferiscono con le attivit? quotidiane ( tremore involontario delle mani, delle braccia, delle gambe o della lingua; cambiamenti nella postura, espressioni facciali e del cammino tipiche) . E' quindi molto importante un'approfondita conoscenza del pattern clinico e della sua eterogeneit?. Nella presente tesi, si discuter? in merito alla riabilitazione di un paziente affetto da Parkinson ad uno stadio iniziale.
