Determination of the intensity of wind erosion

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá stanovením intenzity větrné eroze v katastrálním území obce Svatobořice-Mistřín, která úředně spadá do okresu Hodonín a Jihomoravského kraje. Praktická část práce spočívala v rekognoskaci terénu spojené s měřením výšek stávajících ochranných lesních pásů a odběrem půdních vzorků, následované laboratorními analýzami těchto vzorků a výpočtem potenciální ztráty půdy účinkem větru za využití softwaru ArcGIS. V rámci laboratorních analýz byl stanovován obsah neerodovatelných půdních částic, obsah organického uhlíku a proveden zrnitostní rozbor. Eroze byla stanovována ve variantě bez ochranného účinku bariér, s ochranným účinkem stávajících bariér a s ochranným účinkem stávajících bariér včetně nově navržených. Navržené větrolamy byly situovány do míst s největší ztrátou půdy při současném respektování místních specifických podmínek. Výsledky z šetření a výpočtů potenciální ztráty půdy mají upozornit na problémové lokality v zájmovém území, kde větrná eroze způsobuje značné škody. Výsledky práce mohou posloužit v budoucnu při návrhu protierozních opatření.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the determination of the intensity of wind erosion in the cadastral area of village Svatobořice-Mistřín, which officialy belongs to the district of Hodonín and the South Moravia Region. The practical part of the work was based on the reconnaissance of the terrain connected with the measuring of heights of existing protective forest belts and soil sampling, following by laboratory analysis of the samples and calculations of potential soil losses due to wind effects using ArcGIS software. Within the laboratory analyzes was appointed the content of non-erodible soil particles, the content of organic carbon and grains size analysis performer. The erosion was specified in a variant without a protective barrier effect, with a protective effect of existing barriers and with a protective effect of existing barriers, including the newly ones. Th designed windbreaks were located in places with the greatest loss of soil while respecting local special conditions. The results of the survey and calculations of potential soil loss are intended to point out a problem localities in the area of interest, where wind erosion is followed by great damage. The results of the work can be used in the future when the anti-erosion measures are projected.
