Requirements on a managers’ personality and possibilities of influencing the coo workers

Abstract:

The main objective of the submitted Bachelor´s thesis is to analyse the requirements on a manager´s personality. The theoretical part of the thesis proposes a relatively complete view on the issue, as it focuses on comprehension of the management, managerial functions/roles and it defines the personality not only from the general point of view, but also in the terms of the detailed requirements on the manager´s personality. It is also very important to point out the perception of the notion of influencing, its implementation and application of the particular tools of influencing at work by the manager. The analytical part of the thesis concentrates on the questionnaire survey. This survey helped not only to confirm or refute the presented hypothesis, but also to fulfil the second objective of the thesis – to find out which qualities of personality are the most emphasised by the managers for influencing the co-workers.

Abstract:

Predložená bakalárska práca si za svoj prvý cieľ určila analyzovať požiadavky na osobnosť manažéra. Práca v teoretickej časti ponúka relatívne ucelený pohľad na danú problematiku, nakoľko sa zameriava na chápanie manažmentu, manažérske funkcie a roly, definuje osobnosť nielen vo všeobecnosti, ale aj konkrétne rozpracováva požiadavky na osobnosť manažéra. Za dôležité považuje poukázať aj na vnímanie pojmu ovplyvňovanie, jeho implementáciu a využívanie jednotlivých nástrojov ovplyvňovania v práci manažéra. Analytická časť práce sa venuje dotazníkovému zisťovaniu, ktoré napomohlo nielen k potvrdeniu alebo vyvráteniu stanovených hypotéz, ale aj k naplneniu druhého cieľa bakalárskej práce, ktorým bolo zistiť, na ktoré vlastnosti osobnosti kladú manažéri najväčší dôraz pri ovplyvňovaní spolupracovníkov.
