The influence of management and environmental conditions on the flora and vegetation of fishponds

Abstract:

Studované území Českomoravské vrchoviny, Pohořelicka a Boskovicka nebylo dosud v rámci rybniční vegetace a flóry příliš zkoumáno, zvláště pak ne ve vztahu k rybničnímu hospodaření a různým podmínkám prostředí. V letech 2007–2008 jsem ve studovaném území zaznamenal flóru a vegetaci 56 rybníků a druhové spektrum k 6 sádkovým komplexům. Pomocí shlukové analýzy jsem soubor rybníků rozdělil do sedmi skupin na rybníky Pohořelicka, rybníky Boskovicka, eutrofní rybníky středních poloh blízko sídel, rybníky lesní, rybníky s obnaženým dnem, extenzivní zarostlé rybníky vyšších poloh a skupinu nevyhraněných rybníků bez bližší specifikace. Hlavní gradient ve druhovém složení jsem na základě nepřímé gradientové analýzy interpretoval pomocí pasivně promítnutých Ellenbergových indikačních hodnot a naměřených faktorů prostředí jako vliv nadmořské výšky a vlhkosti. Dalšími faktory, které se ukázaly jako významné, byly úroveň hladiny vody během návštěvy, obvod rybníka a pozice na toku + splachy. Přímá gradientová analýza tyto gradienty potvrdila. Pomocí metody rozkladu variance v rámci přímé gradientové analýzy jsem zjistil, že samotný vliv hospodářských zásahů na druhové složení je v porovnání s vlivem ostatních měřených faktorů malý. Pomocí regresních stromů jsem zjistil vliv vyšší nadmořské výšky a extenzivnějšího způsobu hospodaření na vyšší diverzitu ve vegetaci. Pro vyšší počet druhů na rybníce se paradoxně ukázalo jako významné intenzivnější hospodaření a nižší nadmořská výška. Na rybnících a sádkách bylo dohromady zjištěno 332 druhů cévnatých rostlin a 44 druhů společenstev. Mezi nejhojnější druhy patřil např. Lycopus europaeus a Ranunculus repens, mezi ty vzácné a význmané např. Scirpus radicans a Elatine triandra. Nejběžnějšími typy společenstev byly zjištěny asociace Phragmitetum communis a Glycerietum maximae, mezi ty vzácné patřily například Caricetum ripariae nebo Sagittario-Sparganietum emersi.

Abstract:

The area in the Czech-Moravian Highlands, and areas near Pohořelice and Boskovice wasn’t yet studied with a view to the flora and vegetation of ponds, especially not by its relationship to a pond management and to various environmental conditions. I recorded the vegetation and flora of 56 ponds and species variation in complex of six storage ponds in the study area during 2007–2008. Using cluster analysis, the sample with ponds was classified to seven clusters: ponds near Pohořelice, ponds near Boskovice, eutrofic ponds in the medium altitudes situated near settlements, ponds with denuded bottom, forest ponds, ponds with extensive management with higher ration of vegetation in higher altitudes and nonspecific group of ponds without closer specification. I interpreted the main gradient in species composition on the basis of indirect gradiation analysis using of passively projected Ellenberg indication values and some measured variables as an influence of the altitude and moisture. Other relevant factors was water level during the visit, perimeter of pond and the position in the stream+runoffs. The direct gradient analysis confirms these gradients. Using the method of variance partitioning it was determinated, that with respect to the the composition of flora the influence of pond management alone in comparsion to influence of other measured factors is small. I found out higher altitudes and extensive pond management has influence on the higher vegetation diversity using analyses of regresion trees. It turned out that higher number of species is paradoxically determinated by the more intensive pond management and lower altitudes. On the ponds and storage ponds there were found 332 species of vascular plants and 44 types of vegetation. The most abundant species were Lycopus europaeus and Ranunculus repens for example. The rare and remarkable species were Scirpus radicans and Elatine triandra for example. The most common types of vegetation were association Phragmitetum communis and Glycerietum maximae and the rare types were Caricetum ripariae or Sagittario-Sparganietum emersii.
