The Budget of EU

Abstract:

The aim of this Diploma thesis is to evaluate the european's budget and sources for the new programming period. The first part is devoted to defining the specifics of the budget of the European Union, focusing on the historical context of European cooperation, a mechanism for approving and monitoring the budget. The second part consists in decription of income and expenditure of the Union. The next chapter focuses on the financial perspective, from the beginning to the proposal for the years 2014 - 2020. The final section summarizes the reform and alternative sources of the Union.

Abstract:

Cieľom diplomovej práce je zhodnotiť rozpočet EÚ a možné zdroje financovania pre nové programové obdobie. Prvá časť je venovaná vymedzeniu špecifík rozpočtu Európskej únie so zameraním sa na historický kontext európskej spolupráce, mechanizmus schvaľovania a kontrolu rozpočtu. Druhá časť je tvorená deskripciou vývoja a charakteristiky príjmov a výdajov Únie. Nasledujúca kapitola je zameraná na finančnú perspektívu- od jej vzniku až po návrh na roky 2014-2020. V poslednej časti sú zhrnuté poznatky, ktoré sa týkajú reformy a alternatívnych zdrojov Únie.
