Anotácia:

Tato práce se zabývá postkraniálním skeletem druhu Homo neanderthalensis z hlediska jeho odlišností od skeletu moderních lidí (Homo sapiens) a také z hlediska možných adaptací jeho jednotlivých částí. Zmiňuje se o četnosti a lokalizaci traumat kosterní soustavy neandertálců, o různých teoriích jejich vyhynutí a uvádí stručný přehled významných nalezišť i s jejich datováním. Cílem této práce je zhodnotit možnost vlivu skeletu na vymření neandertálců s důrazem na rozdílnost skeletu neandertálců a moderních lidí a na jeho adaptace.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the postcranial skeleton of Homo neanderthalensis in terms of its differences from the skeleton of modern humans (Homo sapiens) and in terms of possible adaptations of its parts. The thesis mentions the frequency and location of Neanderthal skeletal trauma, various theories of their extinction and it provides a brief overview of the significant sites with their dating. The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the possibility of the influence of skeleton to Neanderthal extinction with an emphasis on differences between skeleton of Neanderthals and modern humans, and its adaptations.
