Cílem této práce se bylo nejdříve vrátit do historie kontroly hranic Československa a popsat jakým způsobem byla prováděna kontrola a ochrana hranic. Dále se zaměřit na způsob ochrany hranic v ČR a jiných státech v dnešní době. V dalších kapitolách jsem se věnoval analýze bezpečnostních rizik souvisejících s ochranou hranic, které aktuálně hrozí.
