Optimization of rabbit feed ration in a selected smallholder farm

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce pojednává o vlivu přídavku čekanky obecné na přírůstky hmotnosti a délky těla. V první části této práce je popsána anatomická stavba trávícího traktu králíků a jeho fyziologie. V dalších kapitolách pak trávení jednotlivých živin a jejich normovaná potřeba ve výživě králíků. Dále jsou pak zmíněna využívaná krmiva ve velkochovech a malochovech králíků. Druhá část bakalářské práce je experimentální část, která se zaměřuje na vliv krmné směsi na růstovou schopnost králíků. Vliv krmiva byl pozorován hned na několika ukazatelích, a to na průměrném přírůstku hmotnosti a délky těla, na spotřebě krmiva, jatečné výtěžnosti a velikosti vybraných vnitřních orgánů. Porovnání výsledků ukázalo, že výsledná průměrná hmotnost byla o 116 gramů větší u skupiny krmené směsí s přídavkem čekanky obecné. Z vnitřních orgánů měl přídavek sušeného kořene čekanky obecné největší vliv na játra, kdy byla v průměru větší o 4,9 gramů oproti jedincům krmených pouze ječmenem. Z hlediska zdravotního stavu byly zaznamenány tři úhyny u skupiny krmené ječmenem, což u jedinců krmených přídavkem čekanky ani jeden.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the effect of chicory supplementation on weight gain and body length. The first part of this thesis describes the anatomical structure of the rabbit di-gestive tract and its physiology. In the following chapters, the digestion of the different nu-trients and their standard requirement in rabbit nutrition. Furthermore, the feeds used in rabbit farms are mentioned. The second part of the bachelor thesis is the experimental part, which focuses on the effect of compound feed on the growth performance of rabbits. The effect of feed was observed on several parameters, namely average weight gain and body length, feed consumption, carcass yield and size of selected internal organs. Comparison of the results showed that the final average weight was 116 grams higher in the group fed with the addition of chicory. Of the internal organs, the addition of dried chicory root had the greatest effect on the liver, which was 4.9 grams larger on average compared to the barley-only fed group. In terms of health, three deaths were recorded in the barley-fed group, compared to none in the chicory supplemented group.
