Forest regeneration after calamities at forest administration Vítkov - forest district Olšovec

Abstract:

V diplomové práci je řešena problematika obnovy lesa po kalamitách v rámci lesnického úseku Olšovec (LS Vítkov) na živných a oglejených stanovištích středních poloh. Hodnocen je stav a vývoj obnovy dle lesní hospodářské evidence; v konkrétních objektech je analyzováno odrůstání přirozené obnovy jedle a smrku na kalamitní holině; srovnávána nákladovost umělé obnovy buku a dubu a jsou vyhodnoceny efekty souběžné obnovy pionýrských dřevin s dubem. Výsledky evidenční části prokázaly, že přepočtená úspora nákladů na obnovu lesa díky snížení počtu spárkaté zvěře dosáhla v revíru Olšovec za poslední tři roky při průměrné ceně za zalesnění jednoho hektaru (135.000,- Kč/ha) výši Kč 7. 830.000,--.Podíl přirozené obnovy vzrostl šestnáctinásobně v porovnání s rokem 2014. Mortalita náletu smrku během jednoho roku dosáhla 50 %. Překvapivě odrůstala a krátkodobě přežívala na holině i přirozená obnova jedle, a to s výškou nadzemní části od 17 cm do 201 cm. S rostoucí výškou a tloušťkou krčku se lineárně zvětšoval i výškový přírůst jedle. Krycí efekt pionýrských dřevin při souběžné obnově s dubem se projevil snížením růstu dubu v průměru o cca 18 %, ale i sníženou mortalitou (1,6 % u síje břízy) a snížením nákladů o cca 50 %. Z pionýrských dřevin na holině nejlépe prosperovala olše a bříza ze síje. Zjištěné náklady umělé obnovy buku a dubu do stadia zajištění se pohybovaly od 189.810 Kč do 300.070 Kč (buk) a od 241.980 Kč.do 271.030 Kč (dub).

Abstract:

The diploma thesis addresses the issue of forest regeneration after calamities in forest district Olšovec (Czech state forest administration Vítkov). The research focused on trophic and gleyic sites in mid altitudes. The state and development of forest regeneration based on forest management records. Following partial research items have been carried out: Assessment of growth and survival of silver fir and Norway spruce regeneration on calamity clear-cut, cost rate of beech and oak artificial afforestation and effects of parallel natural regeneration of pioneer tree species combined with artificial oak planting. Analysis of forest management records revealed that regeneration cost savings after herbivores reduction reached 7.830.000 CZK during the last three years, while the average regeneration costs for one hectare accounted for 135.000 CZK. The share of natural regeneration increased sixteen times as compared to the state of the year 2014. The mortality of spruce seedlings reached 50% within one year. Surprisingly, the silver fir seedlings occurred and temporarily survived on clear-cuts. Their heights ranged from 17 to 201cm. The higher the seedlings and the thicker their rot collar, the higher was the height increment of silver fir seedlings. The shading effect of pioneer tree species on the artificial oak plantings accounted for 18% average decrease of oak growth, and, on the contrary, decrease of oak mortality (1,6% in case of birch sowing) and consequent decrease of costs by approximately 50%. Among the pioneer tree species, alder and birch from sowing performed at best. Regeneration costs for beech and oak artificial planting ranged from 189.810 CZK to 300.070 CZK and from 241.980 CZK to 271.030 CZK, respectively.
