The Stylistic Analysis of Political Texts from the Era of National Socialism

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis discusses the topic called ?The stylistic analysis of political texts from the era of National Socialism?. The first chapter is oriented on theory and divided into four subchapters. The first of them describes language and ideology from the era of National Socialism, the second one focuses on life of Joseph Goebbels, the third subchapter is about an anti-nationalist group called White Rose and the fourth focuses on stylistics and persuasion. The primary goal of this thesis is analysis of Joseph Goebbels? speech at the Sports Palace in Berlin and analysis of the sixth leaflet of the White Rose group. In the practical part, these texts will be analyzed on the morphological, syntactical and lexical basis. There will be put a great emphasis on analysis of the tools of persuasion. Result of this analysis should confirm the hypothesis that political texts from the era of National Socialism are full of persuasive tools, emotionality and manipulation.

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá tématem ?Stylistická analýza politických textů z období nacionálního socialismu?. První kapitola je zaměřena teoreticky a je rozdělena do čtyř podkapitol. První z nich popisuje jazyk a ideologii z období nacionálního socialismu, druhá přibližuje život Josepha Goebbelse, třetí se zabývá protinacistickou skupinou Weiße Rose a čtvrtá je zaměřená na stylistiku a persuasi. Primárním cílem této práce je analýza projevu Josepha Goebbelse v Berlínské sportovní hale a šestého letáku skupiny Weiße Rose. V praktické části budou tyto texty analyzovány po morfologické, syntaktické a lexikální stránce a velký důraz bude kladen na analýzu persuasivních prostředků. Výsledkem analýzy by měla být potvrzena hypotéza, že politické texty z období nacionálního socialismus jsou plné persuasivních prostředků, emocionality a manipulace.
