Review of Selected Items in the Financial Statements of the Statutory City

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá přezkumem hospodaření vybraných položek účetní závěrky vybraného statutárního města. Cílem je navrhnout metodiku postupu u přezkumu hospodaření statutárního města vedoucí ke zlepšení procesu ověřování položek účetní závěrky u vybraných oblastí. Teoretická část je zpracovaná na základě odborné literatury, zákonů, vyhlášek a auditorských standardů. V praktické části je na začátku představeno vybrané statutární město. Následně je provedena analýza vybraných položek účetní závěrky města a jsou uvedeny rozdíly v ověřování různých oblastech mezi auditem a přezkumem hospodaření. Závěr diplomové práce se věnuje metodice ověřování vybraných položek účetní závěrky u přezkumu hospodaření územně samosprávných celků a jejímu zlepšení.

Abstract:

The master thesis deals with the review of selected items of the financial statements of a selected statutory city. The aim is to propose a methodology for reviewing the financial statements of a statutory city leading to an improvement of the process of verification of items in the financial statements of selected areas. The theoretical part is prepared on the basis of specialized literature, laws, decrees and auditing standards. In the practical part, the selected statutory city is introduced at the beginning. Subsequently, an analysis of selected items in the city's financial statements is performed and the differences in verification of various areas between an audit and a management review are presented. The conclusion of the thesis is focused on the methodology of verification of selected items of the financial statements in the review of the management of municipal entities and its improvement.
