National Debt Development of the CR since 1993, Its Impacts and Future Trends

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce je zaměřena na problematiku vývoje státního dluhu ČR od roku 1993, jeho důsledky a tendence dalšího vývoje. Obsahuje přehled vývoje státního dluhu od vzniku samostatné České republiky v roce 1993, aktuální stav a tendence dalšího vývoje (především v oblasti reforem veřejných financí), včetně srovnání se Slovenskou republikou (v některých dílčích oblastech), kterou můžeme vnímat jako vzor pro některé oblasti, v rámci prosazování snižování státního dluhu a zadlužování občanů jako jednotlivců. Stěžejní část této práce jsem zaměřila na vývoj a současný stav státního dluhu, dopady státního dluhu na současný systém a jeho dopady do budoucnosti (na budoucí generace). Jedná se zejména o aktuální stav české politické scény, dopady do oblasti legislativy, možné přínosy a rizika pro následující roky. Problematika státního dluhu je velice komplikovaná, obsáhlá a nelze ji popsat v rámci jedné diplomové práce, je třeba pohybovat se a pracovat v této oblasti, aby bylo možné chápat tuto problematiku jako celek. Vycházela jsem z vlastních postřehů / zkušeností, čerpala jsem z materiálů, ať již knižních, nebo internetových, abych mohla co nejlépe v rámci této práce vysvětlit problematiku, která může mít na budoucnost České republiky zásadní dopad. Stačí se podívat na některé státy západní, východní Evropy (například – Maďarsko, Lotyšsko), nebo na Americký kontinent (například - Argentina) a zjistíme, co může naši zemi potkat, pokud nezastavíme růst, nebo nesnížíme výši státního dluhu.

Abstract:

This thesis focuses on issues of development of the National Debt in the Czech Republic since 1993, its impacts and tendencies of future development. It contains an overview of the development of the National Debt since the foundation of the Czech Republic in 1993, current situation and development trends (especially in the area of reform of public finance) including the comparison with the Slovak Republic (in some specific areas) which we can perceive as role model for some areas within enforcement of reducing the National Debt and debt imposed on people as individuals. The main part of the thesis is focused on the development of the present condition of the National Debt, impacts of the National Dept on the current system and its impact on the future generations. It involves current political situation, impacts on legislation, possible benefits and risks for following years. The issues of the National Debt are very complicated, broad and it is not possible to cover it within one thesis. It is necessary to follow and work in this field to be able to understand the issues as a whole. I have drawn from my own experience and used other available resources such as books and the internet to be able to explain the issues within this thesis which can have fundamental impact on the future of the Czech Republic. If we take a look at some countries in western and eastern Europe (for example Hungary or Latvia) or at the American continent (for example Argentina) we will find what could happen to our country if we do not stop growthof the National Debt or if we do not reduce the amount of the National Debt.
