Active ageing in seniors' clubs

Abstract:

Magisterská diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou aktivního stárnutí v klubech seniorů. Cílem předkládané práce je objasnit subjektivní pohled seniorů na jejich aktivní participaci na aktivitách klubu seniorů. Podstatou práce je zjistit, jaké důvody seniory vedly k podílení se na aktivitách klubu, dále jaké limity a bariéry senioři ve své účasti na aktivitách klubu seniorů spatřují a následně jaké jsou přínosy participace na aktivitách v klubu seniorů očima participujících (seniorů). Práce je koncipována do dvou částí, teoretické a empirické. Teoretická část přibližuje základní pojmy, čili stárnutí a stáří, demografické stárnutí, potřeby seniorů, aktivizaci seniorů a její formy a koncept aktivního stárnutí. Empirická část předkládané práce prezentuje výsledky kvalitativního výzkumného šetření, které bylo realizováno prostřednictvím hloubkových polostrukturovaných rozhovorů se seniorkami, které se aktivně participují na aktivitách klubu seniorů.

Abstract:

Master’s thesis deals with issues of active ageing in seniors‘ clubs. The aim of the thesis is to clarify seniors‘ subjective view to their active participation on activities of seniors‘ club. The essence of the thesis is to discover the reasons that have led seniors to participate on the activities of the club, limits and barriers that seniors have noticed during their involvement and the benefits of participating on the activities of the club as perceived by participating seniors. The thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and empirical. The theoretical part defines basic concepts – ageing, old age, demographic ageing, seniors‘ needs, seniors‘ activation, forms of seniors‘ activation and concept of active ageing. The empirical part presents the results of qualitative research, which was realised by means of semi-structured in-depth interviews with female seniors who actively participate on seniors‘ club activities.
