The effect of glass and jewellery production on formation of regional identity of inhabitants of the Jablonec nad Nisou region

Abstract:

Práce pojednává o vnímání obyvatel sklářského a bižuterního průmyslu na Jablonecku. V úvodní části se práce zabývá vymezením základních pojmů regionu, místa a regionální identity a průběhem jejího vytváření. Následně je popsána problematika percepce prostoru a vznikem mentálních map. Dále práce rozebírá potřebnou metodiku pro zpracování mentálních map vzniklých během strukturovaného rozhovoru a internetového šetření. Následuje představení samotného regionu z pohledu sklářství a bižuterie, pohled do historie a přehled bižuterie na zmiňovaném území. V další části jsou představeny výsledky z dotazníkového šetření, a vymezení zájmového území pro tvorbu mentálních map s dotazovanými. Práce se věnuje i rozboru novinových článků o sklářském a bižuterním průmyslu. Na závěr jsou prodiskutovány vzniklé mentální agregované mapy zájmové území.

Abstract:

This work is about the perception of the inhabitants of glass and jewelery industry in the Jablonec nad Nisou region. In the first part deals with the definition of basic concepts, position and regional identity and the process of creation. Subsequently it describes the problems of perception of space and the creation of mental maps. The work also discusses the methodology required for the processing of mental maps incurred during a structured interview and an online survey. Following the presentation of the region in terms of glass and jewelery, insight into the history and overview of jewelry on the mentioned territory. The next section presents the results of a questionnaire survey and demarcation of the area for creating mental maps of the interviewees. Thesis is also analysis of newspaper articles about the glass and jewelery industry. At the conclusion discussed incurred aggregated mental maps of the area of interest.
