Chosen requirements for patients on an intensive care unit post total hip replacement surgery

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá potřebami nemocných po náhradě kyčelního kloubu bezprostředně po operaci při hospitalizaci na jednotce intenzivní péče. V teoretické části jsou popisovány potřeby nemocných v obecné rovině, dále je zvláštní pozornost věnována vybraným potřebám. Základním bodem diplomové práce je potřeba bezpečí. Další potřeby – potřeba informace, potřeba být bez bolesti, potřeba soběstačnosti, potřeba spánku a odpočinku – jsou zkoumány v souvislosti s potřebou bezpečí. Úkolem je zjistit, jak prožívají pacienti pooperační období, co je možné změnit, aby pro ně byla hospitalizace co nejméně zatěžující.

Abstract:

This dissertation addressess the chosen requirements of patients post total hip replacement surgery during their hospitalisation in an intensive care unit. The theoretical part discussess the „requirements“ as a broad definition and furthermore a specific attention is paid to the chosen tools. The key point of the dissertation is the requirement of safety. Further requirements such as the necessity of information, the use of pain relief, the need of an independence, the sleep requirements and rest are explored in connection with the safety requirements. The mission was to find out, how patients go through their post-operative period and what is possible to change, so that the hospitalisation is much less of a burden.
