Diplomová práca sa zaoberá nákladnou železničnou dopravou a faktormi, ktoré stoja za nízkym modálnym podielom nákladnej železničnej dopravy v Európe. Cieľom práce je pomocou dostupnej literatúry a následnej analýz zistiť, čo spôsobilo tento pokles a celkovo zhoršilo postavenie a využitie železničnej nákladnej dopravy.
