The possibillities of further education for seniors in Usti region

Abstract:

Cílem bakalářské práce s názvem ,,Motivace k dalšímu vzdělávání seniorů v Ústeckém kraji" je na základě realizovaného výzkumného šetření zjistit, zda má vzdělávání seniorů vliv na obohacení hodnot a smyslu života seniorů a zda jim pomáhá v běžném životě. Práce je rozdělena na část teoretickou a empirickou. Teoretická část práce se zaobírá charakteristikou stáří a stárnutí, věkovým členěním, jakož i teorií stárnutí. Dále se zabývá změnami, které jsou spojené se stářím, potřebami seniorů a kvalitou jejich života. Není opomenuto ani ukotvení problému v systému věd a vysvětlení pojmů andragogika, gerontologie či gerontogogika. Závěr teoretické části pak tvoří vzdělávání seniorů, jeho cíle a možnosti takového vzdělávání. Výzkum, který je realizovaný v empirické části, je zaměřen na analýzu obecných informací o respondentech, na jejich rodinný a zdravotní stav, na jejich zájmy a trávení volného času. V neposlední řadě je rovněž zaměřen na pocity respondentů ohledně kvality jejich života, ohledně sociální izolace, dále na jejich nálady a na adaptaci na moderní technologie. První skupinu tvořilo 98 seniorů, kteří se účastní vzdělávání na univerzitách třetího věku, bez ohledu na jeho formu. Druhou skupinu pak tvořilo 91 seniorů, kteří se vzdělávání na univerzitě třetího věku nikdy neúčastnili. Všichni respondenti pocházejí z Ústeckého kraje a jsou starší 60 let. Data, která byla získána dotazníkovým šetřením, byla statisticky vyhodnocována pomocí metody Chí-kvadrát test nezávislosti pro kontingenční tabulku a Studentova t-testu, v závislosti na formě otázek.

Abstract:

The aim of the bachelor's thesis entitled "Motivation for further education of seniors in the Usti nad Labem region" is based on the research to determine whether the education of seniors has an impact on enriching the values and meaning of seniors and whether it helps them in everyday life. The work is divided into theoretical and empirical part. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the characteristics of old age and aging, age classification, as well as the theory of aging. It also deals with changes that are associated with old age, the needs of seniors and their quality of life. The anchoring of the problem in the system of sciences and the explanation of the terms andragogy, gerontology or gerontogogy are not left out either. The conclusion of the theoretical part is the education of seniors, its goals and possibilities of such education. The research, which is carried out in the empirical part, is focused on the analysis of general information about the respondents, their family and health status, their interests and leisure time. Last but not least, it also focuses on respondents' feelings about their quality of life, about social isolation, their moods and their adaptation to modern technologies. The first group consisted of 98 seniors who participate in education at universities of the third age, regardless of its form. The second group consisted of 91 seniors who never attended a university at the age of three. All respondents come from the Usti nad Labem Region and are over 60 years old. The data obtained by the questionnaire survey were statistically evaluated using the Chi-square test method of independence for the contingency table and the Student's t-test, depending on the form of the questions.
