Medical and socials aspects of caring for premature infants in families with twins particularly in their first year of life

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou rodin s nedonošenými dvojčaty. Jejím cílem je zjistit jednak míru informovanosti rodin a jednak pojmenovat úskalí péče, která tyto rodiny provázela po narození dětí, zejména v prvním roce života až do současnosti. Tomu je podřízena i struktura práce. Teoretická část zahrnuje problematiku vícečetných těhotenství a zvláštnosti péče o nedonošené dítě v prvním roce života, včetně rizik souvisejících s nedonošeností. Výzkumná část bakalářské práce je zpracována formou kvalitativního šetření. Polostrukturované rozhovory s matkami dvojčat, v jednom případě doplněné otcem dvojčat, byly koncipovány se zaměřením na jejich informovanost, názory, zkušenosti, pocity, prožívání a následnou péči o jejich nedonošené děti.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the issues of the families that take care of premature twins. The bachelor thesis main aim is to define the difficulties and main obstacles that families treating premature twins have to overcome, primarily in the first years of their lives up to the present. The theoretical part includes the problem of multiple pregnancies and specific of premature infants' care in the first years of their life, including risk factors that are associated with preterm births. The practical part is processed as the qualitative research. The interviews with the twins´ mothers and in one case twins´ father were closely focused on parental awareness, experience and their inner feelings that are closely related to the childbirth and follow - up treatment of premature infants.
