Education of pregnant women about non-pharmacological methods of pain relief during the first stage of delivery

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá informováním těhotných žen o nefarmakologických metodách tlumení porodní bolesti během první doby porodní. Cílem práce byla realizace edukačního procesu s těhotnými ženami, vytvoření edukačního plánu a vyhodnocení edukace. Edukační proces se zabývá využitím alternativních metod pro tišení bolesti při porodu. Deficit znalostí těhotných žen byl stanoven na základě znalostního dotazníku, který byl součástí posouzení klientek. Teoretická část popisuje dostupné nefarmakologické metody v našich porodnicích. Kapitoly jsou věnovány předporodní přípravě, doprovodu u porodu, hydroanalgezii, poloze za porodu, dýchání, aromaterapii a masážím, muzikoterapii, TENS, akupunktuře a akupresuře, bylinné napářce a hypnoporodu. V praktické části práce je aplikována metoda edukačního procesu, která sestává z pěti základních fází - posouzení, diagnostika, plánování, realizace a vyhodnocení. Edukace probíhala jednotlivě v gynekologicko-porodnické ambulanci Vítkovické nemocnice. Edukačního procesu se zúčastnily tři těhotné ženy.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with informing pregnant women about non-pharmacological methods of pain relief during the first stage of labor. The aim of the work was to realize the educational process with pregnant women, create an educational plan and evaluate the education. The educational process deals with the use of alternative methods for pain relief during labor. The knowledge deficit of pregnant women was determined on the basis of a knowledge questionnaire. The theoretical part describes available non-pharmacological methods in our maternity hospitals. The chapters are devoted to prenatal preparation, accompaniment at delivery, hydroanalgesia, position during the labor, breathing, aromatherapy and massages, music therapy, TENS, acupuncture and acupressure, herbal steam and hypnobirthing. In the practical part of the thesis is applied the educational process method, which consists of five basic phases - assessment, diagnostics, planning, implementation and evaluation. The education took place individually in the premises of the Vítkovice hospital. Three pregnant women participated in the educational process.
