Creating Configuration Files for the MUFIN System using the Vim Editor

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá problematikou zásuvných modulů textového editoru Vim, jejich vytvářením a používáním. Na příkladech je popsáno vytvoření modulu, který usnadňuje vytváření a editaci konfiguračních souborů pro systém MESSIF. Modul podporuje zvýrazňování syntaxe konfiguračních souborů, doplňuje klíčová slova a ulehčuje psaní nových pravidel pomocí automatického doplňování začátků nových řádků stejného pravidla. Modul je automaticky zinicializován při otevření konfiguračního souboru a připraven k použití. Pro doplňování klíčových slov je používán externí slovník.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with plugins for the Vim text editor, their creation, usage and appliance. In particular, it is focused on one specific plugin, which makes editing of configuration files for the MUFIN experimental system easier. This plugin highlights the syntax and completes the keywords according to the syntax of configuration file. It also makes writing of new rules easier, with automatic completion of rules' starts based on the previous ones. The plugin uses an external dictionary for automatic completion of keywords, and is automatically loaded when the configuration file is opened.
