Capital Punishment for Multiple Murderers

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na problematiku mnohonásobných vrahů a absolutního trestu. Mezi mnohonásobné vrahy řadíme sériové, masové a nájemné vrahy. Cílem práce je zjistit dnešní postoj studentské veřejnosti k trestu smrti u těchto narušených jedinců. V teoretické části se práce dělí do pěti podkapitol. V první části pojednává obecně o mnohonásobných vrazích a vysvětluje základní pojmy. Druhá část se zabývá problematikou sériových vrahů a v závěru této části ještě zmiňuje nájemné zabijáky. Ve třetí části věnuje pozornost masovým vrahům, rozdílům mezi těmi sériovými a masovými. Ve čtvrté části se práce zaměřuje na kazuistiky některých známých případů v České, popřípadě Československé, republice. V páté části se práce zaměřuje na trest smrti, na jeho historický vývoj ve světě i u nás, otázky ohledně humanizace a pojetí absolutního trestu jako tzv. "odstrašovadla". V praktické části se práce věnuje kvantitativnímu výzkumnému šetření pomocí dotazníků, jež je zkoumáno na studentské veřejnosti a zjišťuje, jaký mají názor na tuto problematiku. Závěrečným výstupem je shrnutí, které pojednává o zjištěných skutečnostech ve výzkumu.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis focuses on the issue of multiple murderers and absolute punishment. Multiple killers include serial, mass and hired killers. The purpose of this work is to find out the current attitude of the student public to the death punishment for these disturbed individuals. In the theoretical part, the work is divided into five subchapters. The first part deals with multiple killers in general and explains the basic terms. The second part deals with the issue of serial killers and at the end of this part he also mentions assassins. In the third part it pays attention to mass murderers, the differences between the serial and mass ones. In the fourth part, the work focuses on case reports of some known cases in the Czech or Czechoslovak Republic. In the fifth part, the work focuses on the death punishment, its historical development in the world and in our country, questions about humanization and the conception of absolute punishment as a so-called "deterrent". In the practical part, the work is devoted to quantitative research using questionnaires, which is examined in the student public and finds out what they think on this issue. The final output is a summary that discusses the findings in the research.
