Verbal communication between a teacher and a student with a different mother tongue in a standard Czech class

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce pojednává o verbální komunikaci mezi učitelem a žákem s odlišným mateřským jazykem v běžných třídách českých škol. Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. První část práce vychází z odborné literatury a jsou zde vymezeny pojmy komunikace, interkulturní komunikace a pojmy s ní spojené, žák s odlišným mateřským jazykem a především postava učitele a jeho komunikace s tímto žákem. Praktická část obsahuje výzkumné šetření, které bylo realizováno pomocí polostrukturovaného rozhovoru. Výzkumné šetření je zaměřené na verbální komunikaci učitele s žákem s odlišným mateřským jazykem. Vedlejší cíle výzkumného šetření se zabývají přípravou učitele na výuku, využitím pedagogických pomůcek při komunikaci nebo vzděláním učitele v oblasti žáků s odlišným mateřským jazykem.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis focuses on a verbal communication between a teacher and a student of a different mother tongue in a standard Czech class. This bachelor thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. In the first part education literature is used. The terms such as a communication, an intercultural communication and the terms associated with this communication, a student of a different mother tongue and especially the personality of the teacher and his communication with this student are defined there. The practical part contains a research which was provided by a half-structured interview. The research is aimed at a verbal communication between a teacher and a student of a different mother tongue. Partial goals of the research are a teacher’s preparation for a lesson, utilization of pedagogical aids during the communication or a teacher’s education in the discipline of students of a different mother tongue.
