Diplomová práca sa zaoberá postavami Cyrila a Metoda a ich zobrazením v učebniciach dejepisu pre stredné školy vydávaných v rokoch 1918–1989. V prvej časti je vysvetlené, čo je to učebnica a aké je jej postavenie vo výuke a vzdelávaní. Práca prináša aj pohľad na to, ako sú Cyril a Metod zastúpení v rámci RVP a ŠVP.
