Erotic capital

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá erotickým kapitálem. Poměrně novým tématem, jež na poli sociologie představila autorka Catherine Hakim. Aby bylo možno téma uvést, ze všeho nejdřív se věnuji již dříve definovaným typům kapitálu. Kapitálu ekonomickému, kulturnímu a sociálnímu, které se pojí se jmény ekonoma Roberta Holmana, sociology Roberta Putnama, Jamese Colemana, a především francouzským badatelem Pierrem Bourdiem. Hlavní část práce se v prvé řadě věnuje definování a vymezení pojmu erotického kapitálu, následně poukazuje na to, jak se tento typ kapitálu stává v moderních společnostech nesmírně důležitým, a to v těch nejrůznějších oblastech života. V posledních dvou kapitolách se zaměřuji na to, proč je koncept širokou veřejností, ale i odborníky odmítán a uvedu jak kladné, tak i negativní reference, které se po zveřejnění teorie objevily.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the theme of erotic capital. A relatively new subject introduced in the field of sociology by Catherine Hakim. In order to map the topic, first of all I deal with previously defined types of capital. The economic, cultural and social capital, associated with names of the economist Robert Holman, sociologists Robert Putnam and James Coleman, and especially with a French researcher Pierre Bourdieu. The main part of the thesis is devoted to defining and specifying the concept of erotic capital, then focuses on how is this type of capital becoming extremely important in modern societies, in all sorts of areas of life. In the last two chapters I focus on the problem why is the concept rejected, not only by the general public, but experts as well. Subsequently I give both the positive and the negative references that ap-peared after the theory was published.
