Off-balance sheet activities of banks and trends in their risk management and regulation

Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce „Mimobilanční aktivity bank a trendy v řízení jejich rizik a regulace“ je klasifikace mimobilančních aktivit, jejich vliv na hospodaření, regulace a řízení rizik s nimi spojených ze strany banky. První část je zaměřena na definici a rozdělení mimobilančních aktivit, podrozvahy a na účtování v ní. Ve druhé části jsou popsány jednotlivé mimobilanční aktivity. Dále jsou definována rizika a jejich řízení a regulace a její vliv na podrozvahové aktivity. V poslední části je pak popsán vývoj vybraných podrozvahových položek na českém trhu, i ve srovnání s Evropou, dále vývoj vybraných položek Československé obchodní banky, a. s., rizika a jejich řízení bankou a nakonec jsou zkoumány náklady a výnosy mimobilančních aktivit a predikce vývoje.

Abstract:

The goal of the thesis „Off-balance sheet activities and trends in their risk management and regulation“ is clasification of off-balance sheet activities, their impact on banks economies, regulation and risk management connected with them. First part is focused on definition and division of off-balance sheet activities, off-balance sheet itself and on accounting in it. In second part there is description of said activities. Furthermore there are definitions of risks, their management, regulation and impact of these on off-balance sheet activities. In last part there is a description of development of these activities on czech market, comparison with Europe, description of development of selected activities of Československá obchodní banka, a. s., risks, their management and lastly there are costs and revenues of off-balance sheet activities and prediction of their development.
