This bachelor thesis deals with chlorhexidine, one of the many oral antiseptics used as a supportive treatment for periodontal disease. The aim of this workis to present chlorhexidine as such. Táto bakalárska práca sa zaoberá chlórhexidínom, jedným z množstva orálnych antiseptík, ktorý sa používa ako podporná liečba ochorení parodontu. Cieľom tejto práce je predstavenie chlórhexidínu ako takého. V teoretickej časti je zameraná na jeho históriu, štruktúru, mechanizmus účinku, spôsoby aplikácie (jeho aplikačné formy), indikácie, ale aj nežiadúce účinky tejto látky.
