Maps as a source for retrospective toponymy database

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá mapami jako zdroji pro retrospektivní databázi toponym. Výsledkem práce je vytvoření série map zobrazující retrospektivní vývoj anoikonym (kategorie toponym) v městysu Černá Hora, Jihomoravský kraj a části městysu Doubravník, Křížovice, Jihomoravský kraj. Mapy jsou k nahlédnutí v přílohách. K vytvoření retrospektivní databáze byly použity významné mapové podklady od 2. poloviny 18. století až po nejnovější mapy, databáze Geonames a obecní kronika. Součástí bylo dotazníkové šetření u místních obyvatel, které je součástí databáze také. Před vytvořením mapových výstupů byla provedena analýza anoikonym. Přínosem práce je zmapování vývoje pomístních jmen a jejich rozšíření ve zkoumaných lokalitách.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the theme of maps as a source for a retrospective toponymy database. The result of this work is the creation of a series of maps which show retrospective development of anoikonyms (toponym category) in the town Černá Hora, in the South Moravian Region and part of the town Doubravník, Křížovice, in the South Moravian Region. The maps are available in the annex of this thesis. For the creation of the retrospective database, maps were used from the second half of the 18th century up to the most recent maps, the Geonames database and the municipal chronicle. The work also includes a questionnaire survey of local residents, which are also part of the database. Before creating map outputs, an analysis was performed of the anoikonyms. The contribution of this work is to map the development of the place names and their extension in the studied localities.
