Conception of the state in Hegel´s Elements of the Philosophy of Right

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce pojednává o pojetí státu G. W. F. Hegela v jeho nejvýznamnějším politickém spisu Základy filosofie práva. Autorka se rovněž věnuje pojetí státu u dvou významných Hegelových předchůdců Thomase Hobbese a JeanaJacquese Rousseaua. Práce je rozdělena do třech částí. První kapitola představuje Hobbesovu koncepci státu a jeho formulaci společenské smlouvy. Dále se text zabývá pojetím státu a společenské smlouvy u Rousseaua. Třetí a stěžejní část pak pojednává o Hegelově koncepci státu, přičemž se soustředí zejména na jeho trojí pojetí státu, tedy na politický stát, vnější stát a mravní stát.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the conception of the state of G. W. F. Hegel in his most important political work Elements of the Philosophy of Right. The work also examines the conception of the state of Hegels two well-known predecessors Thomas Hobbes and JeanJacques Rousseau. It is divided into three parts. The first chapter describes Hobbes conception of the state and his formulation of social contract. In the next part, it discusses Rousseaus conception of the state and social contract. In the third and main part, it focuses on Hegels conception of the state, especially on his triplicate conception of state, therefore on Political State, External State and Ethical State.
