Professional stress and its impact on the health of healthcare professionals

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá profesionálním stresem a jeho dopadem na zdraví u nelékařských zdravotnických pracovníků v lůžkové péči. Teoretická část je věnována definici a klasifikaci stresu obecně, dále profesnímu stresu, syndromu vyhoření, supervizi, duševní hygieně a nástrojům pro měření stresu. Hlavním cílem práce bylo zjistit, zda má věk či délka praxe respondentů vliv na důsledky působení profesionálního stresu a fyzického zatížení. Dílčími cíli bylo identifikovat nejčastější stresory a nejčastější zdravotní problémy NLZP. Dále zvýšit povědomí o dostupnosti a prospěchu psychoterapie a duševní hygieny. Data byla získána v rámci společnosti Krajská zdravotní, a.s. pomocí dotazníkového šetření. Zkoumaným souborem byli nelékařští zdravotničtí pracovníci v lůžkové péči. V rámci diplomové práce vznikl instagramový profil podporující mentální zdraví zdravotníků, ale široké veřejnosti. Ideálem je vytvoření komunity, která se zajímá a pečuje o své duševní zdraví, vzájemně se podporuje a nabízí pochopení. Práce je obohacena o dva letáky, které se zabývají základními informacemi ohledně psychohygieny. Obsahují navíc QR kód odkazující na výše zmíněný instagramový profil.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with professional stress and its impact on the health of non-medical healthcare workers in inpatient care. The theoretical part is devoted to the definition and classification of stress in general, as well as professional stress, burnout syndrome, supervision, mental hygiene and stress measurement tools. The main goal of the work was to find out whether the age or length of experience of the respondents has an effect on the consequences of professional stress and physical strain. The sub-goals were to identify the most frequent stressors and the most frequent health problems of NLZP. Furthermore, to raise awareness of the availability and benefit of psychotherapy and mental hygiene. The data were obtained within the company Krajská zdravotni, a.s. using a questionnaire survey. The investigated group were non-medical healthcare workers in inpatient care. As part of the diploma thesis, an Instagram profile supporting the mental health of health professionals as well as the general public was created. The ideal is to create a community that cares and cares about their mental health, supports each other and offers understanding. Two flyers with basic information and a QR code linking to the above-mentioned Instagram profile are also used to promote the profile and the benefits of psychohygiene.
