Predmetom bakalárskej práce je skúmanie a analýza platobných kariet v podmienkach bánk, a to Slovenskej sporiteľni a Všeobecnej úverovej banky. Práca je rozdelená na tri časti. Prvá časť pojednáva o teoretických východiskách a skúmaní problematiky. Druhá časť je venovaná porovnávaniu kreditných kariet v podmienkach bánk Slovenskej sporiteľni a Všeobecnej úverovej banky.
