Political character of underground movement in Czechoslovakia (1969 - 1976)

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá konceptualizací fenoménu undergroundu na ose politický/nepolitický jev v normalizačním Československu let 1969-1976. Teoretická část se zabývá analýzou politiky a političnosti v nedemokratických režimech. Empirická část čtenáře seznamuje s charakteristikou hnutí undergroundu a soudobými politickými reáliemi komunistického Československa. Političnost undergroundového hnutí je určena na základě teorie opozic v nedemokratických režimech – analýzou politického konfliktu, nesouhlasu s režimem, cíli, způsoby působení a dopady činnosti hnutí na režim.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the conceptualization of underground movement on the axis of political/non-political phenomenon. The theoretical part analyzes the policy and political character in non-democratic regimes. The practical part introduces the characteristics of the underground movement and contemporaneous political realities in communist Czechoslovakia. The political character of underground movement is determined on the basis of the theory of opposition in non-democratic regimes – by analysis of political conflict, disagreement with the regime, objectives, forms of action and impacts of the movement on the regime.
