Transplant program in the Czech Republic - cadaveric organ donors in intensive care

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na transplantační program v České republice, konkrétně na kadaverózního dárce v intenzivní péči. Teoretická část seznamuje s historií transplantací, popisuje současnou podobu klasifikace dárců orgánů, transplantační program včetně platné legislativy a úlohu transplantačního koordinátora. Praktická část práce je zaměřena na péči o pacienta zařazeného do transplantačního programu dle aktuálních doporučených postupů. Cílem práce bylo zpracování algoritmu a checklistu kadaverózního dárce orgánů pro nelékařské zdravotnické pracovníky Transplantačního centra Olomouc a jeho uplatnění v praxi na KARIM Fakultní nemocnice v Olomouci. Výsledky zpětné vazby od zdravotnických pracovníků byly získány metodou dotazníkového šetření, jehož součástí bylo také zjištění úrovně jejich odborných znalostí v oblasti péče o dárce.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is focused on the Czech Republic transplantation programme, specifically on cadaveric organ donor in intensive care. The theoretical part presents the history of transplantation, the classification of donors, the Czech Republic transplantation programme and its legislation, and briefly describes the transplant coordinator' responsibilities. The practical part deals with a patient included in the transplantation programme, and the care provided according to valid, recommended procedures. The aim of this work is to elaborate on the algorithm and checklist of cadaveric organ donors for the employee at the Transplantation Center Olomouc and its application in practice at the University Hospital Olomouc. The questionnaire survey brings feedback from nurses and an overview of their knowledge level.
