Translation of Proper Nouns and Neologisms in Harry Potter
Abstract:
This thesis examines whether there exists some sort of system or pattern in the translation of proper nouns and neologisms in the Harry Potter series. It is based on Peter Newmark's theory of translation and analysis of nearly one thousand items found within J. K. Rowling's work translated by Vladimir and Pavel Medeks.
