An overview of concertante pieces for piano trio

Abstract:

Diplomová práce zprostředkovává studentům komorní hry se zaměřením na klavírní trio přehled o literatuře, jejíž vyhledávání by je stálo spoustu času a úsilí. Může sloužit jednak jako bezprostřední rozšíření možnosti výběru repertoáru například k absolventskému vystoupení, ale také obohatit celkový odborný přehled. Zmínění autoři koncertantních skladeb pro klavírní trio a orchestr se rovněž věnovali a věnují kompozici velkého množství komorních skladeb a je možno mezi nimi najít velký výběr klasických klavírních trií. Součástí textu jsou stručné životopisy vybraných žijících autorů, včetně oddílu popisujícího jejich hudební řeč, a autentické rozhovory, které tvoří těžiště práce.

Abstract:

This Master thesis provides students of chamber music specialized in piano trio a bibliographical overview that would be very time consuming for them to put together. It can serve both as an inspiration to enlarge their repertoire for example for a graduation performance, but also to enhance their overall professional insight. The composers of concertante pieces for a piano trio mentioned in this inventory have also composed a whole array of chamber pieces and one can find a great selection of classical piano trio compositions in their repertoire. The text also features brief biographies of selected living authors, including a section describing their musical language, and authentic interviews, which form the focus of their work.
