Benchmarking in the company

Abstract:

Teoretická část bakalářské práce je zaměřena na metodu „benchmarking“, jeho terminologii a historii. Dále jsou rozebrány etické zásady, cíle, přínosy a výhody benchmarkingu. Další část se zabývá finanční analýzou, jejími druhy a bankrotními a bonitními modely, kde je popsán zejména Altmanův model a Kralickův Quick test. V praktické části práce jsou představeny dvě společnosti z leteckého odvětví, jedná se o společnost Travel Service a České aerolinie. Tyto dva podniky jsou porovnávány z finančního hlediska na základě rozboru jejich rozvah a výkazů zisků a ztrát. Dále je provedena jejich horizontální a vertikální analýza, která je porovnána mezi oběma společnostmi. V neposlední řadě je srovnán způsob financování podniku pomocí poměrových ukazatelů a na závěr je provedeno celkové srovnání firem Travel Service a České aerolinie.

Abstract:

The theoretical part of the thesis is focused on the method of "benchmarking", its terminology and history. The ethical principles, objectives, benefits and advantages of benchmarking are also analyzed. Another section deals with financial analysis, its types and also with bankruptcy and creditworthy models, which describes especially the Altman model and the Kralicek Quick test. In the practical part of the thesis are introduced two companies from the aviation sector, it is a company Travel Service and Czech Airlines. These two companies are compared from a financial perspective based on the analysis of their balance sheets and profit and loss accounts. There are also horizontal and vertical analysis, which are confronted between the two companies. Finally, there is a comparison of methods of financing by using financial ratios and at the end is the overall comparison of companies Travel Service and Czech Airlines.
