Modern Russian and Czech stereotypes

Abstract:

The topic of this bachelor thesis is modern Czech-Russian stereotypes. For many reasons, the Czech Republic and the Russian Federation are in constant contact and the relations of these two countries are manifested across different areas. The result of their relationship can be found, for example, in literature, cinematography, and in many people's lives. During the period of study at the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen, Czech-Russian relations were studied mainly from the point of view of trade and industry. The aim of this work is to analyze popular and frequent Czech-Russian stereotypes. Social research is based on populations surveys and its results are used to confirm or conversely the stereotype. Stereotypes have been selected from various sources. The work consists of two main parts, theoretical and practical one. The theoretical part introduces the issue, clearly and briefly defines the concept of stereotype. Knowledge from the theoretical part serves as a basis for practical analysis.

Abstract:

Tématem této bakalářské práce jsou současné česko-ruské stereotypy. Česká republika a Ruská federace jsou z mnoha důvodů v neustálém kontaktu a vztahy těchto dvou zemí se projevují napříč různými oblastmi. Jejich stopy můžeme najít například v literatuře, kinematografii a také v životech mnoha lidí. Za dobu studia na Západočeské univerzitě v Plzni byly česko-ruské vztahy zkoumány především z pohledu oblasti obchodu a průmyslu.Cílem této práce je analýza populárních a častých česko-ruských stereotypů. Sociální průzkum populace je založen na dotazování obyvatelstva a jeho výsledky slouží k potvrzení nebo naopak k vyvrácení stereotypů. Stereotypy k analýze byly vybrány z různých zdrojů.Práce se skládá ze dvou hlavních částí, a to z části teoretické a z části praktické. Teoretická část čtenáře uvádí do dané problematiky, jasně a stručně definuje pojem stereotyp. Poznatky z části teoretické slouží pro východisko praktické analýzy.
