Potential delivery of large wood to the Znojmo water reservoir

Abstract:

The subject of the diploma thesis is the budgeting and potential transport of large wood in the budgeting, or more precisely model segments of the river Dyje in the Podyjí National Park. The budget with regard to the properties influencing the transport of large wood was evaluated between 2009 and 2018. The current distribution and properties of large wood in the monitored segments is likely the aftermath of the flood of 2006. This is indicated by a statistically significant difference in the number of pieces according to the location of the segment over time in the national park. Large wood rafting threatens the Znojmo water reservoir. According to the data of the drifted pieces in the flood-free period and the evaluation of the budget, there is a small threat to the reservoir. It was not possible to establish a reliable dependence of the number of drifted pieces on the discharge. This dependence is not exponential. According to the derived function describing the number of potentially washed-away pieces, it is probably a polynomial function. According to the modeling results, this is indicated by the portion of potentially washed-out pieces by a one-year flood. The modeling needs required a fine adjustment of the numerical model, which can be additionally modified in accordance with the requirements of water managers.

Abstract:

Předmětem diplomové práce je bilancování a potenciální odnos říčního dřeva v bilančních, respektive modelových úsecích řeky Dyje v Národním parku Podyjí. Bilance se zřetelem na vlastnosti ovlivňující transport říčního dřeva byla vyhodnocena mezi roky 2009 a 2018. Nynější distribuce a vlastnosti říčního dřeva ve sledovaných úsecích je zřejmě dědictvím povodně z r. 2006. Nasvědčuje tomu statisticky významný rozdíl počtu kusů podle polohy úseku v čase v národním parku. Splavování říčního dřeva ohrožuje Znojemskou nádrž. Podle dat připlavených kusů v období bez povodní a vyhodnocení bilance hrozí nádrži malé ohrožení. Sestrojení spolehlivé závislosti počtu připlavených kusů od průtoku nebylo možné. Tato závislost není exponenciální. Podle odvozené funkce popisující počet potenciálně odplavených kusů jde zřejmě o polynomickou funkci. Podle výsledků modelování tomu nasvědčuje podíl potenciálně odplavených kusů jednoroční povodní. Potřeby modelování vyžadovaly jemnou úpravu numerického modelu, který může být v souladu s požadavky vodohospodářů dodatečně modifikovaný.
